Grandma's Apple Strudel

Loooong time no blog. Sorry life has  happened. But I'm coming back in sweet style with a recipe for my Grandmother's apple strudel.






Let's get baking:

Ingredients:

Puffy Paste
5-6 apples
Brown sugar
Cinnamon 
Sugar
Oil
Butter

 I used premade  pastry but you can make your own ( here is great and easy recipe)

Methode:

Step 1. Spread flower all over your work surface and preheat your oven to 200°C

Step 2. Roll out your pastry into square to about 0.5-1cm thickness as even as you can

Step 3. Grate your peeled apples directly to pastry (but not on edges)

Step. 4 Sprinkle cinnamon, sugar and little bit of oil on apples

Step. 5 Carefully roll your pastry to form strudel

Step 6. Grate some butter on top and poke with fork on few places at strudel

Step 7. Bake for about 40-50 minutes at 225°C until you get nice golden-brown crispy top

Step 8. Serve warm with scoop of vanilla ice cream and icing sugar on top 

This recipe will make you two rolls of strudel
